Meet the 18 finalists for Tampa Bay Tech's 2020 awards

Tampa Bay Tech will honor local technology leaders at its annual awards show in November.

The show will be online and will start at 4 p.m. Nov. 12. It’s the 17th year Tampa Bay Tech has held the legacy event. Register here.

The organization, a nonprofit technology council, will present awards in seven categories, including a new “Bridge Builder” category, recognizing an individual in the community who is dedicated to building a radically connected tech ecosystem, whether through philanthropy, thought leadership or a committment to social causes.

Finalists for that category are Evan Brenner of  Geographic Solutions, a Palm Harbor company that develops and implements online employment software for state and local government agencies; Brian Kornfeld, co-founder and president of Synapse Florida; and Suzanne Ricci, executive director of Computer Coach Training Center.

Tech Leader of the Year
• Balaji Ramadoss, founder and CEO, Edgility

• Greg Ross-Munro, CEO, Sourcetoad

• Jean Kneisler, vice president and CIO, Jabil Healthcare

Tech Company of the Year
• Digital Hands

• InSync Healthcare Solutions

• KnowBe4

Tech Project of the Year

• Cope Notes

• Geographic Solutions

“This year’s nominees were all incredible, and our judges noted how touched they were by those who crafted personal stories of overcoming the adversity that 2020 has been famous for, at this point,” said Jill St. Thomas, executive director of Tampa Bay Tech.

Tampa Bay Tech will also announce the winner of its Community Dedication and Leadership award during the show. Previous winners are Chris Cate, chief operating officer and chief information officer at Valpak; Tony DiBenedetto, founder of Think Big for Kids; Tom Wallace, founder of Florida Funders; and Linda Olson, CEO of Tampa Bay Wave.
