St. Pete podcaster partners with major marketing firm

Local podcaster Jared Taylor has formed a new strategic partnership that will significantly add new special content to his popular podcast series, Slice of Healthcare.

Sage Growth Partners (SGP), a Baltimore-based healthcare research, strategy and marketing firm, and Slice of Healthcare, one of the nation’s top health care business news and health care IT podcasts, announced the new partnership on Tuesday.

Slice of Healthcare, founded in St. Petersburg in 2018, produces 12 healthcare shows, including Titans of Healthcare, Why They Invested – Healthcare Edition, and RevDive. Taylor records the podcast episodes in the Thrive co-working space in downtown St. Pete.

Slice of Healthcare’s audience reaches 65 countries, and the shows have previously ranked in the top 10 Healthcare Business News podcasts.

“This partnership is going to allow us to get in front of more CEOs and leaders in the industry,” Taylor told the St. Pete Catalyst. Taylor was also the founder of the recently acquired healthtech company BlocHealth.

He explained the new relationship with Sage Growth Partners will also help Slice of Healthcare highlight some of the most talked about the early stage and start-up healthcare IT companies and their funding partners through Sage’s robust rooster of clients.

The marketing firm represents a handful of giants in the health care sector including CVS Health, St. Jude Medical, GE Healthcare, Quest Diagnostics and the Cleveland Clinic. Its investors also include Vista Equity Partners, JMI Equity, Hughes & Company among others.

“The healthcare industry continues to grow despite constant change and increased regulations,” Dan D’Orazio, CEO of Sage Growth Partners, said in the company’s news release. “The most successful companies will have a vision that improves safety, improves access, increases engagement and enhances the customer experience. We are fortunate to work closely with very dynamic and influential founders and funders, whose insight is a valuable tool to help others adapt and thrive in a period of uncertainty.”
