David is the founder of the Tampa Bay investment firms Florida Funders and Seedfunders. He is also the recipient of the 2019 TiE Tampa Bay Angel Investor TiETAN Award for his efforts in pioneering changes in the Tampa Bay startup landscape. Additionally, Florida Trend named him one of the 500 Most Influential Business Leaders in the state.

Since retiring and moving back to Tampa Bay, she spends her time giving back as an investor and advisor to startup companies and nonprofits.

Mr. Lewis is 30 year veteran in the health care benefits industry, having served as the CEO for UnitedHealthcare’s commercial operations in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi for over 15 years.

Prior to his UHC career, he co-founded and served as CEO of four start-up physician independent practice associations (IPA’s) and an Alabama domiciled Health Maintenance Organization (HMO).

Donagh Herlihy

Over the course of 30 years, Donagh led technology and eCommerce organizations for Duracell, Wrigley, Avon Products and Bloomin Brands, living and working in both the UK and the US. He now focuses on mentoring and giving back and is the board chair for Teach For America – Central Florida.

Eliot Heller

Eliot is a cardiologist and engineer with over 30 years of healthcare and health IT experience having held roles as chief of cardiology service for a large inner-city teaching hospital and chief medical information officer for three different hospital systems. Most recently he has enjoyed consulting and advising several startups in medical imaging and artificial intelligence.

Eric Fontana is a CPA and serves as President and sole shareholder of Fontana Consulting and Fontana CPAs. Founded in 2000, both companies provide business advisory, accounting and auditing services to the non profit and small business community of Florida. Eric is a former manager at KPMG, an international accounting firm.

Eileen Shapiro

Eileen is a new arrival to St. Pete from Boston, where she was a management consultant in a variety of industries at McKinsey & Co and Hillcrest Group. In Boston, she’s been a member of the Boards of the Catholic Schools Foundation and Pioneer Institute, and the advisory boards Harvard Medical School, Mount Auburn Hospital, and Olin College of Engineering, among others. She holds her A.B. from Brown University and her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Hadi Bozorgmanesh is a Professor of Practice in the School of Engineering at UConn where he developed and teaches Tech Experiential Entrepreneurship for graduate students and post-doctoral researchers interested in converting research into viable businesses.

Ezra Singer

Ezra spent his corporate career as a Senior Human Resources executive at companies such as Verizon (CHRO) and Limited Brands. He is currently the CEO and Founder of Ezra Singer + Associates and consults with executives on how to maximize their pay when changing jobs and with companies on designing executive compensation plans to win in the marketplace. He is the past president of the Jewish Federation of Florida’s Gulf Coast and an active Big Brother.

George Lange

George, a licensed attorney, has 37+ years in the financial services industry, with extensive experience in fiduciary and investment management. He has served as a relationship manager, trust counsel, Chief Fiduciary Officer and President with several large financial organizations. Currently, he is the Founder and Executive Managing Director of Slick Rock Capital Partners, Inc. and a Partner in Seed Funders Tampa Bay. He mentors several non-profit executives concerning building and developing social enterprises. He is currently a board member of Florida Humanities and WUSF Public Media.

Jim Aresty

After retiring from the clothing manufacturing industry, Jim Aresty moved to Aspen, CO, where he became deeply involved in the Aspen Institute. He discovered St Petersburg in 2015 and began splitting time between the two cities. As an endeavor to bring some of his favorite aspects of the Aspen Institute to St Pete, Jim partnered with USF-St Petersburg to establish OPEN (Open Partnership Education Network). Jim is an active thinker, investor, and philanthropist.
